As Mobiquity was growing, they found their current test management solution, TestRail, was inadequate. “TestRail was just too lightweight and didn’t provide the reporting and traceability we needed,” said Carmichael. “Our company was growing fast. We needed a test management solution that would grow with us.”

Evaluating Test Case Management Solutions
Carmichael and her team did an extensive evaluation of ten different test case management solutions. They were looking for a solution that was more robust than TestRail, had a strong JIRA integration and would provide the traceability they needed. They also wanted a solution that they could customize to meet their specific needs. In the end, they selected qTest.
“qTest met all of our requirements. I also liked that QASymphony was a newer company. They were releasing new software much more frequently than the competition and their solutions were more innovative than anything else we evaluated.”
Mobiquity has been a customer of QASymphony since 2015 and now has more than 70 people using qTest across the globe. Carmichael has been extremely happy since making the switch. “qTest has helped us deliver higher quality software and enabled better team collaboration,” she said.
“We have improved our testing process. It’s very easy to jump between projects and find tests. We now have great visibility into our testing coverage. We can also track our automated test results right in qTest. We couldn’t do that with TestRail.”
