“With qTest eXplorer, 80 to 90 percent of the time when we find a defect, the test can push one button and have the log defect generated within a minute of having found it,” says IBM Marketing Cloud’s Senior Manager of Quality Assurance, Neale Hightower. “In fact, after we started using it, a developer pulled me aside and said, ‘By the way, we really appreciate all this detailed documentation you’ve been giving us, but we really don’t want testers spending so much time documenting defects.’ He was floored when I explained that, thanks to qTest eXplorer, it didn’t take them any time at all.”

Now, qTest eXplorer runs unobtrusively in the background and reporting is done in minutes.”
Ending the Tester Log Jam
Communication between testers and developers — usually a log jam — is also more streamlined with qTest eXplorer. “It’s a no-brainer,” says Hightower. “Testers can quickly and easily replicate the defect scenario 50 to 75 percent faster than it would be done manually. Developers get the info they need the first time, and don’t typically have to go back to ask the testers a lot of questions. Plus, since the documentation is so thorough, qTest eXplorer helps us make those test cases reusable.”
