Welcome to Our New CTO Jonathan Alexander

Today I am very excited to announce the appointment of Jonathan Alexander as the Chief Technology Officer of QASymphony. In this role, Alexander will oversee research and development of QASymphony’s qTest platform, including the development of new product offerings.  You can read the press release here.

Jonathan AlexanderJonathan has deep experience in technology having held senior-level positions at multiple high-growth technology companies. Most recently he was CTO at Vocalocity, acquired by Vonage (a QASymphony customer), where he led development and testing of its cloud communications platform. Before that Jonathan co-founded and led development and testing at vmSight, now part of Liquidware Labs, and was Vice President at Epiphany, leading development and testing teams focused on cloud CRM solutions.

Jonathan also holds multiple software patents and is the author of the book Codermetrics: Analytics for Improving Software Teams, published by O’Reilly in 2011.

Jonathan will be taking over CTO responsibilities from our co-founder Vu Lam, who will remain an active member of our Board. Jonathan will guide the QASymphony development team based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and will establish a new research labs team in Atlanta to explore and develop future product areas for QASymphony, including quality analytics and solutions for automated testing.

Jonathan joins QASymphony at a great time.  We are experiencing rapid growth and our qTest platform is now used by almost 10,000 developers and testers in 300-plus organizations, including large enterprises like Adobe, Dell, Salesforce, Barclays, Office Depot, Verizon and Visa.

I had the pleasure of working with Jonathan over the past 18 months when he was a customer and technology leader at Vonage. It was there that I could see he had the vision and creativity to help take QASymphony to the next level.  We are very fortunate to bring in someone with his experience and track record, and I’m looking forward to incorporating his ideas into our strategic plan.
