Top 10 Software Testing Conferences to Attend in 2019
We’re back with our annual lineup of the best software testing conferences to attend in the coming year! Whether you’re looking to get a better perspective on where the QA industry is headed, wanting to rub elbows with some of the brightest minds in the industry, or want to make sure your team is up-to-date on the latest QA trends and technologies – now is the time to start planning for the year ahead.
Here’s our list of the top 10 software testing conferences to attend in 2019, in no particular order:
Atlassian Summit U.S.
Last year, Atlassian took their annual user conference on the road with the Atlassian Team Tour. But this year, they’re back with Atlassian Summit U.S. and are taking on Vegas! Celebrating team innovation, this year’s mission “is to help unleash the potential in every team.” The conference will be held April 9 – 11 and includes a little something for everyone, from Jira training and certification to a day dedicated to the Atlassian developer community and the ShipIt Live competition, where teams race against the clock to ship an amazing project. STAREAST and STARWEST 2019
Featuring over 100 learning and networking opportunities, the longest-running software testing and quality assurance conference is sure to deliver a variety of some of the most in-demand topics and testing innovations. According to the website, this year’s program will cover topics like testing in DevOps, testing for developers, test transformation and test leadership. StarEast is scheduled for April 28 – May 3 in Orlando, Fla., and StarWest will be held in October in Anaheim, Calif. And if neither of those locations are convenient for you, you can check out StarCanada in Toronto.
Accelerate U.S. & Vienna
Earlier this year, Tricentis and QASymphony merged to create an end-to-end testing platform optimized for DevOps and in 2019 our two conferences, QASymphony Quality Jam and Tricentis Accelerate, are joining together to create one exceptional Continuous Testing Conference. Velocity, presented by O’Reilly Media, “provides you with real-world best practices for building, deploying, and running complex, distributed applications and systems.” You can expect four jam-packed days devoted to web operations, DevOps, and systems engineering. Velocity is taking place on June 10 – 13 in San Jose, Calif., and QASymphony will be sponsoring, so be sure to stop by our booth and say hello.
DevOps World | Jenkins World
DevOps World | Jenkins World seeks to provide opportunities for the DevOps community to come together and “learn, explore, network and help shape the future of DevOps and Jenkins.” If you’re an IT executive, DevOps practitioner, Jenkins user or partner, you won’t want to miss the multitude of workshops, training opportunities and sessions. Expect sessions and workshops on topics such as software automation, DevOps culture, performance measurement, security and more. The conference will be held August 12 – 15 in San Francisco, Calif., and on Dec 2 – 5 in Lisbon, Portugal.
For SAP Testers: Sapphire Now
SAPPHIRE NOW, hosted by SAP and ASUG, offers “three full days of networking, strategy, discussions, and education on the latest breakthrough solutions from SAP. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with the SAP extended community to learn how to get the most from your technology investment. Registration opens early December and the conference takes place May 7 – 9 in Orlando, Fla.
SauceLabs is taking their annual conference to Austin, Texas next year! With iconic speakers such as Angie Jones, Richard Bradshaw, and Dave Haeffer, SauceCon aims to be the place “where teams from around the world will come together to learn from each other and level up their automated testing and continuous delivery skills.” The conference is being held from April 23 – 25.
QA Financial Forum
With multiple events happening across the globe, QA Financial Forum is the “leading forum for professionals working in quality assurance and testing for software at banks, insurance and asset management companies.” The forum-style sessions offer a great opportunity to discuss the unique challenges of QA in a compliance-focused environment in depth with a small group of your peers. Next year’s lineup includes shows in Milano, London, Chicago, New York and Paris. DevOps Enterprise Summit
DevOps Enterprise Summit (DOES) features three days of informative sessions, networking, sharing and learning. The conference aims to “give leaders the tools and practices they need to develop and deploy software faster.” Events in the past have featured talks from more than 100 speakers who are all pioneering DevOps principles and practices. Speakers at the 2018 conference included Dr. Nicole Forsgren, Jason Cox and Courtney Kissler.
