New Year, New Name: QASymphony & Tricentis Finalize Merger
It’s official: Just in time for the new year, QASymphony and Tricentis have finalized our merger under the name Tricentis. Originally announced in June 2018, the merger joins qTest and Tricentis’ No. 1 Continuous Platform to create the industry’s most modern, end-to-end solution for transforming software testing to accelerate digital transformation.
Forrester research confirms that continuous testing is one of the key factors separating agile and DevOps leaders from laggards. Nevertheless, most enterprises still don’t have a mature, sustainable continuous testing process in place.
Across surveys, software testing is consistently cited as the primary bottleneck in application delivery. That’s often because testers are stuck using ineffective legacy solutions that make it impossible to achieve the real-time collaboration that agile and DevOps environments demand.
The organizations that recognize and address these issues are finding that testing is no longer a bottleneck — rather, it is a strategic enabler of business success. These companies (like Office Depot and Dolby) are embracing a modern approach to software delivery that prioritizes quality and embeds testing throughout the delivery pipeline. As a result, they are able to deliver higher quality software at unprecedented velocity.
The combined power of Tricentis Tosca and qTest provides our customers with test-driven methods for accelerating agile and DevOps transformation across the enterprise, in a much more significant way — from the delivery of software that enhances the customer experience and drives revenue to the complex IT architectures that power the business.
We are thrilled to now be operating as a single organization! This merger means we’ll be delivering our customers an expanded suite of testing solutions that complement and enhance the qTest experience. And with the significant power of our combined product and engineering teams, we’ll be investing in innovation to deliver new features and integrations at a rapid pace.
qTest already integrates with Tricentis Tosca, a model-based test automation solution that allows anyone to be a test engineer, and Tricentis Flood, a load testing tool for DevOps. And we’ve got big plans for 2019. We’ll be rolling out enhanced integrations, introducing new features to help you stay more organized and test smarter, and designing an enhanced reporting experience that helps you gain insights and rapidly take action to improve end-to-end quality — just to name a few.
Here’s to a fantastic 2019. We’ve set some ambitious resolutions that will help you leverage testing in a much more strategic way to achieve your business goals this year. Let’s make this the year to embrace testing’s transformative power.
