Behind our tools, you will find a passionate group of people that we want our users to get to know. Our first installment of “Meet the qTester” starts with Judy Chung, Customer Success Manager.
1.Describe your role as a Customer Success Manager at QASymphony?
My goal as a Customer Success Manager is to help our users be successful with our products to better achieve their goals whether it’s helping them find more defects or save time from documentation. My role involves everything from onboarding, training, and implementation to ongoing support and enhancement requests. I love that my role is a cross-section of people and technology.
2. What is your favorite part about working at QASymphony?
I have two favorites:
First, our users. “qTesters” are always challenging me to think outside the box. Our products are very versatile, so it’s exciting to see users adopting our tools to fit such different testing workflows. I love reading our product release notes over the last few years to see how features were added and enhanced in a short timeframe. All of these new features came from user requests. It is not one person sitting in a room coming up with ideas – it is a bunch of our creative users making requests. As a Customer Success Manager I really enjoy digging into why the user requested a new feature to understand how they will use it and what kind of impact it will have across all of our users.
Second, our team. We are really lucky to have an amazing team culture, which I believe was a big contributor to QASymphony being named #11 Best Places to Work in Atlanta. Everyone is very motivated to do their best, but we also have a lot of fun at the same time. All my team members are very open minded and willing to help each other. We are a very agile organization and are adapting very quickly to what our users need, and that makes for an incredibly exciting environment.
3. What was your college major?
I graduated from Vanderbilt University- Go ‘Dores!- with a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development (HOD) and a minor in Corporate Strategy. HOD was a mix of psychology and business and has helped me understand the different ways people work with each other to make a teams more successful overall. At QASymphony it’s interesting to see these ideas at play, while working with so many different users who are all part of very different organizations.
4. What do you do in your spare time?
I love to hang out with my dog, Kaya. I adopted her about a year ago from the Humane Society of Forsyth County. She is four years old, and we think she is a boxer hound. Other than time spent with Kaya, I also enjoy running or cooking. Traveling is a big hobby of mine as well – I just got back from Italy with my family and it was a fantastic trip!
